Vertical Dipole

This page shows the performance of a center fed vertical dipole. This configuration is used on occasion where a small foot print is required. The gain is low because of the vertical configuration with the bottom of the antenna close to ground. Also, the antenna height must be greater than one half wavelength.

Gain @ 14 MHz =-1.4 dBi at a take off angle of 30 degrees.

Elevation Angle = 30 degrees

Gain @ 14 MHz = -1.4 dBi

Antenna Layout Oriented vertically Azimuth = 90 degrees

Frequency Response: Optimized in 4nec2 for 14 MHz operation.

Impedance @ Resonance = 71 Ohm
